Notion AI - a quick way to excellence

Already back in November 2022, Notion announced it would add AI to your Notion workspace and people were able to register for the waitlist, to receive the alpha version. This is actually still possible here. It is a big deal, AI-driven tools are getting more and more advanced as we just saw with the recent GPT-3 hype. Notion, as a well-known productivity tool joining this trend, was only a matter of time.

What exactly is Notion AI?

Notion AI is a natural language processing (NLP) system that uses deep learning algorithms to understand and respond to human language. It can understand and interpret human language by recognizing patterns and extracting meaning from conversations. It can also generate responses to conversations in natural language.

Benefits

Especially for power users of Notion, this will be a great addition. It simplifies any writing tasks tremendously. They offer multiple different AI-supported options as seen in the image below.

Summarizing, simpler language and spelling/grammar checking have proven very helpful in my work so far. Usually, I pre-write product texts, tweets and other smaller items in Notion. Now, this has become easier than ever.

Furthermore, the translating feature might be interesting for businesses and writers who have a global audience or sales operations in multiple languages. For me, it didn't really play a role so far.
